Selection Criteria:

We do our best to ensure each Pug goes to the best home available for it. To do this we select applicants from submitted Pug Rescue Application Forms. In each case we need to talk to the applicant before going to the next phase of selection. This involves more careful consideration of the needs of the Pug.

While each Pug has individual needs all Pugs have a set of needs in common. It is these needs that we cross check against the applications. These include, but are not confined to;

  •  how much time the Pug will be on its own,

  • how suitable the physical environment on offer is,

  • how willing the new 'family' is to integrate a Pug and,

  •  how well informed you are about what integrating Pugs into your family involves.

If you have done your homework and are truly prepared to care for a Pug according to its needs you should consider applying or calling. Please remember that each Pug is different and while you circumstances might be perfect for 'most' Pugs it might not be the 'best' fit for the Pugs we have at the time.

Ralphie

This gorgeous boy is one of our favorites at PUGADISE. He looks quite a bit older than he is as his face is already gray. Ralphie is totally deaf but has excellent eye sight, no dry eye and seems to not worry about his inability to hear. We do not know enough about his past to tell when he lost his hearing or if he was born this way.

Ralphie is de-sexed, micro-chipped, C8 vaccinated, heartworm treated and of good general health. Even though he gets on exceptionally well with other dogs, we would like him to go to a new family without young dogs. He would enjoy another older pug as a companion and definitely will have to be an inside dog with at least one family member at home most of the time.

If you are interested in Ralphie fill in an online application form.

Indy and Suzu

This black brother and sister are very much attached to each other and we can not separate them as they howl until the other one returns. Both are desexed, micro-chipped, C8 vaccinated and wormed.

Indy looks incredibly cute when he sits in the sun and his long tongue is hanging out. Both are still active for their ages( 6yrs and 7 yrs), get on well with other dogs but would like to go to a family who doesn’t spend too much time away from home. As all pugs they are both very much adore being cuddled and will reward their new owner with much love and attention. A commitment from the new family to keep these two at optimum weight will also be appreciated as pugs don’t seem to be able to stop eating when they are full and tend to put on weight very easily.

Like all PUGADISE Pugs, these two will only go a home that is willing to make them a part of the family and will keep them as indoor pets. Pugs can not cope well with either cold or hot weather and unless indoors, they will become very sick and may even pass away.

Monty

Are you looking for a pug that will adoringly follow you about the house, loves playing with other dogs in the park, is fully house trained and comes from a very loving home which is devastated to have to let him go due to health reason of the owner.

Monty has just turned 4 on the 15th of June and is looking for a family who is able to spend much time with him. Because he is used to being the centre of attention he gets depressed when he is left alone for too long. He is house trained, very healthy, micro-chipped, de-sexed, had is yearly vaccination and a yearly heartworm vaccination.

Monty will come with his harness and his “Baa sheep” which he cuddles up to at night and has done so for years.

Like all pugs Monty puts on weight very easily and needs to be exercised outside the warm or too cool hours of the day. He does his “business” on command which is very appreciated when he is let out for a late toilet break.

All PUGADISE pugs will only be considered for homes who are looking to make their new pug an important member of the family and who is keeping him as an indoor pug.

If you are interested in Monty fill in an online application form.

Sue

This beautiful, 3 1/3 year old de-sexed pug girl is looking for a loving home that will spend much time with her. Pugs live for human attention and will reward their owners with unconditional love. They tend to follow you around the house and can get depressed when they are being left alone for too many hours in the day.

Sue is micro-chipped, vaccinated, wormed and heart worm treated. She is almost house trained and with a committed new owner who will show her where to relief herself, she will be good as gold.

Even though she gets on well with other dogs, we do not want to place her in a home with young boisterous large dogs. Pugs eyes can be easily injured when they mock fight with larger breeds or rough acting older dogs.

Sue is looking to be a spoiled indoor pug who is adored by her new owner whom she in return can love and cuddle up to.

If you are interested in Sue fill in an online application form.

Cassey

This 4 yr old girl loves to play and run around. She adores spending time with her owner and will be glued to their side as most pugs are to their beloved family. Many pug girls can be a bit bossy and get on better with males than other female pugs. Sue would love a family who is either at home most of the time or where she has a male companion who is not too boisterous with her.

She is de-sexed, micro chipped, vaccinated and heartworm treated. She will only be placed with a family who is willing to have her share their home and not have her live in the backyard or garage. Pugs are indoor dogs who need human companion ship in order to stay healthy and be happy. In return they will love their owner unconditionally and will be spreading a lot of fun with their antics.

If you are interested in Cassey fill in an online application form.
